LOCAL LANDSCAPE INTERPRETED

LVEQ is inspired by forms of the local landscape and Forlano’s interest in the concepts of women’s work such as quilting with Louis Vuitton’s signature quilting motif. Predominantly made of WA blackbutt timber it uses form and colour evocative of the Western Australian landscape. The repetition, connection, and openness of the forms echo the endless continuity and variation in both the landscape and the creative act of making through a series of parts that are combined in multitudes of ways.
