AUSTRALIAN’S BOND WITH WATER
Water plays a central role in Australian culture across time. Counterpoints originated as a response to the searing contrasts in the landscape. The work echoes the timelessness and ancient Australian land and its waterways.
This form - a single droplet expresses the preciousness of water and its profound significance in all life- universal, intimate, and spiritual.
HIGHLIGHTING A DYNAMIC NATURE
The aperture is a window that connects places; the near and far, the temporal and spatial, and the changing environment in a day, a season, and throughout time. The changing reflections enhance the marvel of changing light and scenery throughout the day and seasons.
Counterpoints was prominently showcased at two of Australia’s most beloved public events; Sculptures by the Sea in Bondi on the east coast and Cottesloe on the west coast.
